You know… some days… things just seem to be going against you, the odds stacked so high that the prospects of success look extremely bleak, everyone around you is telling you why you cannot possibly achieve what you want. And then you just feel like… giving up. DON’T!
If it is something that you are convinced in your heart of hearts is worth doing, then ignore the naysayers, don’t accept the current reality, push yourself on! Like what Arthur Boorman did.
Arthur Boorman served in the Gulf War as a US paratrooper. Too many jumps out of a plane over the long years of service left him with chronic knee and back pain. His situation was so severe that various doctors told him that he would never be able to walk unassisted again. For 15 years, Boorman believed these doctors. But one day, he stumbled upon yoga. He was warned by his doctors not to get his hopes up that practising yoga would help him much. But, he set his mind to persevering. And this is his story:
So… If there is something you think worthwhile doing, then start. Start even if it is daunting, start even if you don’t think you have everything you need to complete the task, start even if you don’t think the time is right. Just start.
Yes, the odds may be against you. But the tougher the challenge the sweeter the victory! And if you feel like giving up, DON’T! Challenges are there to help us achieve our goals. Keep going on! And… who knows… your story may then serve as an inspiration to others. So… whoever you are, whatever challenges you are facing, hang in there buddy! You can do it!
